is produced on a mellow dressed calf side tanned in vegetable extracts.

The Sealed Top version was made by the famous Dickens Brothers, Northampton. A clear resin top providing more protection against absorption. 

This can be left in its natural state to age beautifully, or enhanced by polishing, creaming and waxing. The Russet lining is a traditional bespoke shoe lining. It is also used for hand tooling/carving, falconry and a host of leathergoods.
